On July 20, 2016 I entered The Shade Tree, with my 18 year old cat, Kit Kat. I retired from the Army National Guard 20 years ago. After many years of caring for my family, I found myself and my cat homeless with nowhere to go. I never thought I would knocking on a shelter’s door for myself, but that’s not the most important part. The fact that I had my 18 year old Kit Kat with me, who I’ve had since she was 8 weeks old. What a true blessing that right next to The Shade Tree was Noah’s Animal House. This is where my cat could stay safe. How many places offer that kind of service? I was truly thankful that myself and Kit Kat would be able to stay together. The staff at Noah’s showed Kit Kat such love and compassion. Kit Kat loves all the attention she receives., After losing everything I was able to keep my beloved Kit Kat. For that alone, I am truly grateful.
