Peanut

In September 2009, Peanut a middle aged Chihuahua began feeling acute extreme neck pain. Fortunately, a Build-a-Bear grant was used to take Peanut to the Las Vegas Neurological Center for a consultation. Peanut received a full neurological and physical exam, spinal MRI & CT, spinal radiograph work at no cost to the shelter. After all the testing, Peanut was diagnosed with inter-vertebral dis-protursion in three areas of his neck which was only correctable via spinal surgery. Peanut is doing exceptionally well today. Peanut’s owner was very grateful for the care that Peanut received and now knows that “God put me here for a reason” because it saved Peanut’s life.
