Harriet is a classy Scottish little old lady. She & her mom fled their abuser thanks to Noah’s location next to Shade Tree. When you meet Harriet, her eyes break your heart. While she is grateful to be close to her mom & safe, as an older & sophisticated gal, she struggles with the shelter environment. She stayed with a foster parent while mom had to be hospitalized, giving her a much needed break from the shelter. The bond between Harriet and the only owner she has ever known is so strong. When Mom was hospitalized we knew we had to allow Harriet a “doggie vacation” with a foster so she wouldn’t think her mom deserted her. Now that they are both back at the shelter – they are both happier & healthier.
